We have over 20 years experience working in hockey arenas and are familiar with all the challenges and hazards associated with maintaining and operating the facility and equipment.
It wasa workplace injury in 2002 that motivated us to develop a better method for changing ice resurfacer blades. The current procedure presented too many opportunities for injury during removal and installation of the blade and needed to be made safer. This led us to develop a machine that would remove and install an ice resurfacer blade while it was still in its transportation sheath, thereby greatly reducing the risk of injury.
This new “System” for changing blades can be “Standardized” throughout the arena industry which means that Ice Technicians at every arena will use the same procedure.
By incorporating “The RAZER” as part of a routine blade changing operation Municipalities as well as Private Arenas can put “Safety First” and protect their employees from injuries while at the same time reducing liability.
